Buffy Vampire Slayer Movie Remake
But Empire reports Fran and Rubel Kuzui, who directed the original movie, and Kaz Kazui bought the rights to Buffy in 1992 and now plan to make a new film. The Kazuis were credited as executive producers on Buffy the TV show as they owned the rights, but are reportedly not planning to include any of the Vampire Slayer's supporting characters or sidekicks from the hit show in the movie remake.
It is not known if this is due to rights complications but devoted Buffy fans are already voicing their concern at Whedon's lack of involvement and the possibility of a film without Xander, Willow, Giles, Angel, Spike and the rest of Buffy's gang. It has been speculated that the slogan "into every generation a slayer is born" will allow for a completely new reincarnation of Buffy, in what is being described as a "darker, event-sized movie with franchise potential."

What Does New Moon Poster Tell Us
Edward Is Tortured…and suspicious? - Well of course he’s tortured, that’s his general state of mind. Also, consider the fact that he’s supposed to be feeling guilty for leaving Bella and you might even be able to read regretful in the look. Suspicious? Most definitely. Jacob is in the picture now AND he’s a werewolf. We think he’s a little angry too. The obviously defensive Jacob won’t even turn to face him, which Edward undoubtedly considers disrespectful and I’m sure he’s wondering why Bella won’t look at him.
Bella Isn’t Looking at Anyone – Jacob is turning to look at Edward, Edward is looking back at Bella and Bella is looking at, well, no one. She’s confused, that’s undeniable. However, we think it looks like she’s staring at something else entirely, as if she doesn’t want either Jacob or Edward. And does she look a little vacant? Perhaps Kristen Stewart is acting like heartbroken “zombie” Bella or maybe (as many people think) it’s a reflection of the actress’ less than superb acting ability. Could it be that she’s just trying to look sexy?
Jacob’s Hair Is Short – Jacob’s cropped cut leads us to believe the picture takes place after Jacob makes his werewolf change. He’s also looking super buff. Ok, it’s definitely taken post-wolf time. But, if that’s the case, why so many clothes?Bella Is Stuck in Back – Strange, right? While it makes sense that Edward and Jacob are protecting her, it’s odd that she’s not in the center of the group. It almost seems like the movie is more about the drama between Edward and Jacob, and less about the love triangle between the three.
They All Look Hot – There’s no surprise here, especially in Edward’s case. He is chiseled, Jacob is huge and Bella’s skin is almost as perfect as a vampire. We also noticed that they all look a lot more mature? But wait a second. Is that chest hair on Edward? If memory serves, his chest is supposed to be smooth and marble-like. So why the pelt?

Rob Confirms Breaking Dawn
Pattinson told The Hollywood Reporter that he is committed to starring in the final outing to date but doesn't know when backers Summit Entertainment will begin production because of the actor's jam-packed shooting schedule.
Fans have been hoping for a movie version of the fourth novel from Stephenie Meyer's best-sellers, so Pattinson's commitment is the biggest fillip yet. The fourth book (caution -- spoiler alert) centers on Bella and Edward's marriage and her subsequent pregnancy.
Dropping in on the Croisette on the way to shooting the final four days of "New Moon" in Italy on Friday, Pattinson said he is heading back to Vancouver in October to finish up "Twilight: Eclipse," the third installment. In between, the British actor, who turned 23 last week, plans to star in "Remember Me," which Summit also is producing.
The script adaptation for "New Moon" beefs up his character's role considerably -- in the book, Edward is a "a voice in Bella's head," he said.
Said Pattinson, laughing: "You're playing a figment in Bella's imagination so I was trying to do it in a 2-D way. I hope it doesn't translate onscreen as being boring." The hardworking actor is taking a few days off after completing "New Moon" before the start of the "Remember Me" shoot. He plans three days off after an eight-week planned shoot for "Remember Me" before finishing "Eclipse" before October.
Pattinson said "Remember Me" is very difficult to describe but said it is very much about him and, after reading the script last summer, felt a connection with it. The main protagonist is a 23-year-old man who spends six weeks after meeting someone working out if he is in love or not.

CBS pickups: The number of shows I watch on the network just doubled
May 18, 2009, 05:06 PM | by Mandi Bierly
CBS officially announces its schedule May 20, but a source tells EW's Hollywood Insider blog that among the pickups we'll find Three Rivers starringMoonlight's Alex O'Loughlin, Miami Trauma featuring The Tudors' Jeremy Northam, and the NCIS spinoff with Chris O'Donnell and LL Cool J. This is fantastic news for many:
• First of all, Alex O'Loughlin: He sat in on five open-heart surgeries to prepare for his role as a divorced cardiothoracic surgeon in Three Rivers, which tells the story of organ transplants from three perspectives -- the recipient's, the donor's, and the surgical team's.
• Alex O'Loughlin's fans: "I told [CBS] I'm happy to do whatever sex scenes they want. Either with actors or by myself.... That may or may not be a reason why they pick up the show," he joked to us last month. You have that in writing, CBS. So hold him to it!
• The people who use our old "Jeremy Northam, why aren't you a bigger star?" post as their message board: 3,000-plus comments and counting. Fresh material.
• Anyone who was surprised by how good Chris O'Donnell was on the second half of that recentNCIS two-parter that launched the spinoff, which focuses on undercover ops instead of forensics: Now, we'll get to explore Special Agent G. Callen's backstory, and why even he doesn't know what the 'G' stands for.
(I'm so willing to test Alex's theory as an 'extra!)

MTV Video Awards to Show "New Moon" Clips
Get ready for some New Moon. And nope, we're not talking about a new set of paparazzi pics of Robert Pattinson & Co. I can exclusively reveal that footage from the Twilight sequel will be shown for the first time during the upcoming MTV Movie Awards,
And that's not all—it gets better...
Awards show producer Mark Burnett says Patzz, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner will hit the stage together to present the clip. An action packed, minute-long clip from Twilight showing Edward battling badboy bloodsucker James (Cam Gigandet) made its debut at last year's awards. It was also the first time Pattinson and Stewart walked a red carpet together in support of the movie. "Fans can tune-in to the show to see sneak peeks from three of the most highly anticipated movies of the year," Burnett tells me. "These clips have never been seen before and we're very excited that The Twilight Saga: New Moon is one of them."
Twilight and Slumdog Millionaire both lead in nominations, with each receiving six nods.
Hosted by funnyman Andy Samberg, the show will be telecast live on May 31 from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California. Previously announced presenters include Vanessa Hudgens, Leighton Meester, Cameron Diaz and Lil Wayne, among others. Eminem and Kings of Leon will perform.

Michael Sheen on Dakota Fanning's Volturi Look
"Met [Twilight author] Stephenie [Meyer] yesterday on the set," Sheen tweeted on Friday. "She was very charming and enthusiastic and very positive. Keep forgetting how freaky I look with my red eyes."
Two minutes later, Sheen added, "I think Dakota may look the most unsettling though. So angelic yet so weird. As Jane that is of course. Like an evil red riding hood."

Nominations for the 2009 event were announced Monday morning with Twilightleading the list, nabbing seven nominations including best movie, best female performance for Kristen Stewart and breakthrough performance male nods for costars Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner.
But the vampire hotties face stiff competition against the Oscar-winning Indian romance Slumdog Millionaire, which received six nominations, including best movie, breakthrough performance female for Freida Pinto and breakthrough performance male for Dev Patel.
In the best kiss category, Angelina Jolie and James McAvoy are nominated forWanted as well as the fan favorite honor, but will have to slay the vampires and the slumdogs before taking home the gold.
For the first time this year, nominations were selected by the fans and MTV introduced two brand-new categories – best song from a movie and best WTF moment from an outrageous scene in a movie.
The 18th annual movie awards will be hosted by Saturday Night Live star Andy Samberg with rapper Eminem set to take the stage at the starstudded affair airing live from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, Calif., on May 31.
Pattinson Interview
Robert Pattinson on nudity, his future career, and not knowing what day the 'Twilight' DVD was released (?!)
May 1, 2009, 01:57 PM | by Mandi Bierly
Categories: New Moon, Nudity, Twilight
Now when I read interviews with Robert Pattinson, it's like a game. He gets points and he loses points depending on what he says. (It's a credit to him, really, because it means that I'm still trying to figure him out.) Let's take a look at Part 2 of his chat with Moviefone's Inside Movies Blog.
• "I had a penis implant!": Apparently, the first joke that came to his mind when asked how he prepared to film the explicit scenes in his new movie Little Ashes... +1.
• "...like when I saw my father getting changed for swimming I got, like, traumatized by it": Hmmm. Honesty when talking about English people's hangup with nudity...+1. Making me think back to the similarly traumatizing moment in my own life... -1.
• "And then when you realize you're walking right and stuff, and people -- Spanish people! -- know who you're playing, without the moustache, they know immediately just by looking in your eyes, it's very satisfying.": No idea if he actually pulls off Salvador Dali in Little Ashes, but pretty endearing statement... +1
• "I'd quite like to be a political strategist and like a spin doctor. [Laughs] I'd really, really like to do that. I think I will end up doing that at one point.": Actors who think they might like to do something other than pretend they're someone else... +1
• Describing sudden fame he says, "In my eyes, everything just seems ridiculous, like every single day it's like you're walking on the street, and then suddenly you step on something and it just starts moving really, really fast, and you're not entirely sure what direction it's going in, but you can feel the force of it.": He's always at his most articulate on this topic. I appreciate the imagery when so many people would have just stopped at "ridiculous"... +1
• A clip from his movie How to Be, also shot before Twilight: Oof. I didn't realize he and Kristen Stewart went to the same school of hair acting... - 1
• "I was in a Blockbuster the other day, and I hadn't realized it was the day the ['Twilight'] DVD was coming out...": Not buying it, Rob... -1 (liked the story about seeing two eight-year-old girls shaking and crying just picking up their pre-ordered DVDs though)
• On whether he'd do full-frontal nudity like Daniel Radcliffe: "I think it would depend on what it is. Yeah, it really does depend on what it is. And I don't think a lot of people would really want to see that. I think it would ruin the illusion. [Laughs]": Self-deprecating humor... always +1.
He ends up with a score of 3 for me. Eh. How'd he do for you this round?
