Stephen Moyer has joined the cast of Priest, the Scott Stewart-directed Screen Gems thriller that stars Paul Bettany, Cam Gigandet, Maggie Q and Karl Urban.Scripted by Cory Goodman, the thriller involves a warrior priest who turns against the church to track down a murderous band of vampires who kidnapped his niece. Stephen will not be playing a vampire in this movie but the mortal brother of the protagonist.
The movie is based on the graphic novel by Min-Woo Hyung. Shooting of Priest will start today. The release date is set for 13 August 2010.
