Taylor Lautner fans should certainly pick up more than a few copies (Those arms! That smoldering stare! Remember, he's only 17!). As for Team Edward...well, at least the image proves that the moon is not, in fact, made of green cheese.

"New Moon" Calendars Coming Your Way

This is the Official New Moon Desk Calendar which is very similar to official poster. Set to be released sometime later this year in September or October.

Here is a picture of the 2010 New Moon wall calendar featuring the Cullen Family and looks to be available around end July.

"Thirst" To Be Released in U.S. July 31

Sorry, trailer is in Korean, but I think you get the idea!!!

Thirst, Park Chan-wook's vampire flick and recent Cannes film festival jury winner will be released in the U.S. on July 31, the film's North American distributor Focus Features said Wednesday. The screenings start in Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York and will gradually expand to include other states for a wider release. "Very few films I've ever seen, going back to Hitchcock's 'Vertigo,' have that kind of feel of love and at the same time has horror and a terrifying philosophical exercise in thinking through the greatest extremes of what human emotions and human ambitions can lead to," said James Schamus, the CEO of Focus Features in an earlier announcement of the company's collaboration with CJ Entertainment in March, referring to Park's film.

Fans of Park Chan-wook and his epic "Sympathy Trilogy" should be lining up to see his latest work, Thirst, a vampire drama comedy arriving in theaters July 31 from Focus Features and recent Cannes jury prize winner. The story finds Korea's leading man, Song Kang-ho (The Host), as a much-loved priest who becomes a vampire after a failed medical experiment; he becomes a tortured and depraved soul. The title refers to a craving for sex, blood and love.

Coldplay on "New Moon" Soundtrack??

Is Coldplay joining the Twilight Saga by being included on the New Moon soundtrack. Here's what the "Oracle" on the band's website had to say.

June 12, 2009 - submitted by Julie, United States of America
Q. Dear all-knowing OracleI heard a rumor that The Scientist by Coldplay (obviously) was going to be on the New Moon soundtrack. Is this true?Peace, luv,Julie <3>

The Oracle replies: It's very likely that a Coldplay song will end up on the soundtrack to the Twilight sequel given that Stephenie Meyer has credited Coldplay, amongst others, on the inner sleeve for "being instrumental in staving off the writer's block".

Since the band is listed in the series playlists on StephenieMeyer.com, might be safe to say we'll be hearing some Coldplay on at least one of the upcoming Twilight Saga movie's.

"True Blood" Premiere Brings in the Viewers

According to hitfix.com Sunday (June 14) night's second season premiere of the Southern Gothic vampire soap "True Blood" was one for the HBO's record books.

In its first airing, the "True Blood" premiere drew 3.7 million viewers, making it HBO's most watched program since a little show called "The Sopranos" ended its run on June 10, 2007.

You can probably do the math and make the assumption that the 9 p.m. premiere was also the largest "True Blood" audience to date, up a whopping 157 percent from the show's series premiere last September and also up by 51 percent over the Season One finale last November.

Factoring in an 11 p.m. airing, HBO reports that "True Blood" drew 5.1 million viewers for its Sunday gross audience, also a series record. The weekly gross audience for the series will only increase as additional reairings and OnDemand viewership are taken into account.

5 Not So Secrets From The Twilight Cast

From people.com:

So you're young, good looking and you've spent the day channeling a blood-sucking vampire or morphing into a werewolf on the set of one of the most widely anticipated films of the year. What do you do for fun?

All sorts of things, according to cast members of the Twilight series, the second of which, New Moon, recently wrapped after shooting on location in Canada and Italy. Here, actors in both films dish on some of the facts – and fiction – about the lives of the Twilight stars.

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart Have Hidden Talents

"Rob's an incredible guitarist and vocalist. [And] Kristen can really play guitar," reveals Jackson Rathbone, 24, who plays vampire Jasper Hale. "They're really multi-talented artists." (
Gozde: Yeah, it's seriously hidden with Rob having 2 songs on the soundtrack :))

In fact, the cast's musical interests helped the everyone bond, says Rathbone, a member of the band 100 Monkeys: "Rob Pattinson and Kristen and Nikki [Reed] would do a lot of jam sessions, and Kellan [Lutz] and Ashley [Greene] and Peter [Facinelli] would all hang out in the hotel room and play music and hang out on the set."

Kristen and Rob Have Chemistry – On and Off Screen

The pair – who play a couple on screen – were seen smooching in Vancouver recently, but their cast mates insist there is no hot-and-heavy romance – yet, anyway.(
Gozde: Well this actually really surprised me. I thought people was a "confirm and publish" magazine. WERE they seen smooching in Vancouver? Have I been living under a rock?)

"Obviously there's chemistry: They're Bella and Edward!" says Justine Wachsberger, 24, who plays vampire sympathizer Gianna in the film. But "they just seem like great friends."

Rathbone adds that whenever the cast is together, Pattinson and Stewart "didn't treat each other any differently [than the other cast members]. We're all equals in the room. It's like a family.”

The Most Talked-About Relationship on Set Was ... a Bromance
"Me and Mike [Welch] (Mike Newton in New Moon)," jokes Justin Chon, 28, who plays Bella's pal Eric Yorkie. "Me and Mike had a bromance. We just loved to hang out together and talk about stupid things."

The Cast Is Still Grounded
Twilight actors with big and small roles all hang together at least part of the time, and they shared a love of exploring the beauty of the locations in Canada and Italy.

"You would expect diva behavior from them since they're so big now, but they're really nice and down to earth," says Wachsberger.

Fans Should Be Salivating for New Moon
"I think it's going to be better than the first one," says Chon. "I think [director] Chris Weitz is going to do a really good job with it. I was really impressed. I think it's going to be amazing."

Adds Wachsberger: "I can't give away any spoilers, but expect the unexpected.

Rob: New Moon definitely feels like it's a big movie.

From MTV.com contains mild spoilers:

UNIVERSAL CITY, California — It's one of the most anticipated films of 2009 and already has hundreds of fan sites devoted to it. Now, the stars of "New Moon" are revealing details about key scenes from the flick that will surprise even the most die-hard fans.

"There's definitely a difference in scale," marveled Robert Pattinson when we caught up with him recently. "I liked doing 'Twilight,' but it felt very much like an indie movie — and ['New Moon'] definitely feels like it's a big movie."

"Kristen [Stewart] and Taylor [Lautner] had to lobby to get this one scene in the film that wasn't originally in — and I am forever indebted to them for that," revealed Mike Welch, citing a beloved moment from Stephenie Meyer's "New Moon" novel. "There's a scene that's in the book, the three-way date between Jacob and Bella and Mike, where Mike ends up getting sick, and it's just very awkward."

As for how physically ill Welch's Mike Newton gets in the comic-relief scene, he said we shouldn't expect projectile vomit or anything. "We're talking a little bit," he laughed. "A little sick."

"We did a lot of improv on set," Lautner said. "We'd just be in a random forest and, after Jacob transforms [into a wolf], he all of a sudden becomes very agile, and I wanted to show that, because pre-transformation, he's clumsy. But as soon as he transforms, he's agile. So we'd be in a random forest, and I'd be looking around going, 'What can I do to show Jacob's agility in here?'

"Sometimes [director] Chris [Weitz] would be like, 'No, Taylor, we don't want you getting hurt, spraining an ankle,' " Lautner recalled. "But I was like, 'Well, how about I just jump off that and then jump through this?' And he was like, 'All right, give it a shot.' "

The immensely popular "New Moon" trailer gives us a peek at Lautner's athleticism. It also gives us our first look at the infamous birthday scene — a moment that actor Jackson Rathbone had been eager to shoot ever since he landed the role of anguished vampire Jasper Hale.

"He unleashed the madness; it was crazy," Peter Facinelli remembered of the day when Rathbone finally got to display his inner animal and attack Kristen Stewart's Bella. "It took me and Kellan — non-acting — to hold him back."

Elizabeth Reaser also got knocked over during the violent take. "Jasper, played by Jackson Rathbone, kinda loses it when Bella cuts herself," Kellan Lutz recalled. "It's fun to work with your friends and see a side of them that you really don't expect. That's where the acting comes into play. Jackson did an amazing job portraying that scene, and it was fun being my character to try and stop him."

Speaking of favorite scenes, Greene also got to shoot hers — a high-octane moment where Alice Cullen steals a yellow Porsche in Italy. "It was really fun. I worked with a stuntman before actually driving it and learned how to do a bunch of unnecessary things that were fun, like fishtailing, and he was gonna teach me drifting," Greene laughed. "I drove it in a scene and came about 2 inches from the wall!"

"I hate you," a jealous Lutz joked.

"I know," Greene said. "Oh, my gosh — everyone does right now!"

"[The whole film] looks completely different, so it'll be interesting," Pattinson said, looking forward to the November 20 "New Moon" release. "I'm very curious to see what it looks like."

The Vampires Are Out and About

• AnnaLynne McCord and beau Kellan Lutz, chowing down on popcorn while watching a screening of The Hangover in Century City, Calif. Wearing a brown Juicy jumpsuit, the 90210 actress had her hood up as the two took their seats in the packed theater. The Twilight star, who sported a red plaid shirt, jeans and newsboy cap, "occasionally took McCord's hand throughout the movie," says an onlooker. "The two were definitely enjoying the film and one another's company, smiling, laughing, and sharing a tub of popcorn that McCord held on her lap."

• Meanwhile, in New York City, Lutz's costar
Jackson Rathbone had a pizza party and performed for his fans at Pete Wentz's bar, Angels and Kings. The Twilight actor signed autographs before taking to the stage to show off his multi-instrumental skills – playing trumpet, drums, guitar and keyboard – with his band, 100 Monkeys. While singing lead throughout the blues-rock set, the crowd – made up mostly of women – went crazy. One even asked for Rathbone's underwear!

Ian Somerhalder on "The Vampire Diaries"

With the Twilight phenomenon remaining undead for quite a while longer and with True Blood taking over HBO again this summer, it was only a matter of time before the CW decided to adapt the cult-classic books The Vampire Diaries into a TV show. And, when the show does make its debut this fall, Twilighters everywhere will have another way to get their hot vampire guy fix.

"Twilight is a huge phenomenon," Lost alumnus Ian Somerhalder, who plays a vampire in the new show, admitted to MTV News. "Quite possibly and inarguably, yes we have a show because of it, so I'm not going to complain. I haven't seen Twilight yet, so I don't know how it compares, but yeah, it's good that they're around."

Vampire Diaries based on the early '90s young-adult novels by L.J. Smith, is the story of Elena (Nina Dobrev) who is torn between a pair of vampire brothers, the tortured and well-meaning Stefan (Paul Wesley) and the devilish Damon (Somerhalder). "Vampires are very hot. It's fun playing a vampire," Somerhalder said. "You're 200 years old. You can fly around. You can eat beautiful girls — well, you can suck on their neck. I don't physically cut them up and eat them. That would be a little sick."

Somerhalder isn't about to complain about getting to play a guy who uses his dark vampire ways to make girls fall in love with him, because he thinks that his character's motives aren't necessarily all bad. "It's fun having all these layers," he said. "It depends on what you call bad and good. I'm definitely the more sadistic, prankster one, which is fun. He's a lot of fun. He's charming and it's hard to hate him, but he's kind of a bastard. You walk that fine line between liking him and absolutely hating him, like with most vampires. They kill people; they have to eat too. Population control."

Because It's So Awesome - HD "New Moon" Trailer

Casting Search Begins for "Eclipse"

With the first trailer for The Twilight Saga: New Moon barely 24 hours old, news has already leaked of casting breakdowns for three characters in the third Twilight film, Eclipse. Casting directors are looking for actors to take on at least three roles for the film, to be directed by David Slade (30 Days of Night):

* Riley “a handsome, blond, clean-cut college boy who falls victim to Victoria [and] plays an integral role in Victoria’s attempt to murder Bella Swan.”

* Seth Clearwater, a member of the La Push werewolf clan and a “tall, gangly-limbed boy with a huge, happy grin [who] idolizes Jacob.”

* Leah Clearwater, Seth’s big sister, and the only woman in La Push, who is “tall and slender with beautiful skin and short cropped black hair. She would be considered gorgeous if not for the perpetual scowl she carries due to a broken heart and her anger issues.”

Casting directors are reportedly looking to cast the Clearwater siblings with Native American or First Nation actors. (E! Online first reported these casting details.) The film is due in theaters in June 2010.
